The Serra da Gamoneda route takes the road network into Spain, in a ride that makes both sides of the border a single landscape. Towards the Gamoneda. From Vinhais it links to Bragança along the EN 103 and continues via Carragosa and Parâmio; near Fontes de Transbaceiro it takes the turning to Spain. Still on Portuguese soil, the landscape opens with the Serra da Gamoneda in the foreground — home of the Iberian wolf. Galicia. In Spain the tarmac, the language and the signs change, but the biodiversity and way of life remain similar. The route crosses Hermisende, a preserved and lively village; on the way out, a narrow 18th-century bridge and the crossing of the Rio Tuela, with a river beach popular in summer. A "second-category" climb passes San Ciprián before the return to Portugal north of Moimenta. Second crossing. After a visit to Moimenta, the route enters Spain again at Manzalvos, now in Galician territory, linking to Pinheiro Velho. Back in the lands of Vinhais, from Pinheiro Velho to Pinheiro Novo it tackles the Zona da Lomba, turning to Sobreiró de Cima and the EN 103 to the town.Quick answers
