Centre: Vinhais

A potential flagship of Vinhais, for its appeal and its start in the town itself. From the town it heads east to the Ponte D'Arranca and the river beach, where the Rio Tuela is the central feature. From the beach, about 2.5 km run along beautiful banks of the Tuela (the old bridge is still visible, but crossing it is not advised) with rich biodiversity. At Ermida it coincides about 1 km with the Ermida route; on leaving, it climbs gradually to Moás, always within sight of the Tuela. At km 10 it reaches Moás (Church of Santo Idelfonso) and the famous Baloiço da Eira swing, with a sweeping view south that, on clear days, reaches the Serra de Bornes. From the swing it backtracks and returns to Vinhais through fields, chestnut groves and pinewoods, on gentle gradients.
